Savior of the Serpent Isles

This is based on my Shadow Stalker serial, which hasn't been completed. Instead, I plan to rewrite the whole story in a novel series. The main difference between the two is that Shadow Stalker was written in first person (I/me/my) from the point of view of the main protagonist, Auren. The new series will be written in third person (she/her, he/him) and have multiple points of view characters (including the bad guys)!

I will be writing the new series in full before releasing any of the books, so if you don't want to wait, you can always read the serial (which is missing the last two of the 24 episodes). Just click the button below.

“Hunted by an empire, haunted by prophecy—the shadows will decide her fate.”

The shadows choose their own—and they’ve chosen her.

Auren Trask spent her life hidden, trained by her mysterious foster father for dangers she never understood. When the Galvadi Empire invades her world, she learns the truth: she is the prophesied delohi-saqu, a shadow stalker destined to bring either salvation or destruction to the Serpent Isles.

Hunted, captured, and betrayed, Auren must survive brainwashing, war, and impossible choices. With powers that grow darker each day and an empire determined to see her dead, she faces enemies both without and within. Even love becomes a weapon as her bond with Makari—son of the emperor sworn to kill her—threatens to undo everything she fights for.

As rebellions ignite and emperors fall, Auren is forced to embrace the destiny she’s spent her life fearing. But prophecy is never simple, and the line between saviour and monster blurs with every step she takes into the shadows.

Shadow Stalker is Renee Scattergood’s dark fantasy serial of survival, betrayal, and destiny—perfect for fans of Trudi Canavan, Robin Hobb, and grim yet hopeful tales of rebellion.

I've also got a prequel novella I wrote called Demon Hunt. Check that out too!
