Set the Narrative Order of Events
I only do this step if some events take place before the story begins. If the events are already in the order that they will take place in the story, I skip this.
First, I copy all of the events for each character into a new folder (still keeping them separate for each character). Events that take place before the story begins are labelled as flashbacks, and then they are moved to the part of the story where that flashback will take place.
Also, if there are any events that will occur as a dream sequence, psychic vision, etc., I label those accordingly as well.
