Characterisation
This is the longest questionnaire in the whole process, but it helps me flesh out each of my main characters. I don't always answer all the questions right away because I don't need to plot events. So I will answer the ones that come to mind right away as something I already know about my character. The rest I add as I work through the other steps, and the answer comes to me. The reason I do this is that I want my characters to grow within the context of the story. I don't want to make up minor details only to have them conflict with the story later.
