Do Final Read Through
I need a lot of water for this step. I read through the entire story aloud, and anytime I come to a part where I get caught up on the words, I make a note of it. I should be able to read through without needing to pause because of how it's worded or because it's not clear what I'm trying to say.
After reading through the whole thing, I go back through my notes and fix anything that needs fixing. Then I'll read through that part again to make sure I fixed the problem. I'll keep rewriting those sections until I can read through them without needing to pause.
Sometimes I will make the changes as I read through instead of making notes. It just depends on my state of mind at that moment.
