Do Rewrites

This step is quite involved and takes longer than writing the first draft. This is where I really flesh out the story. The first thing I do is go through each of the chapters and add details to the character sheets and worldbuilding sheets that I came up with while writing the first draft.

The next thing I do is go through the chapters again and make notes of any changes I want to make. This can be expanding on descriptions or showing and not telling. I also make notes about any character and worldbuilding details I want to add.

After this, I go through it again and make all the changes that I put in the notes. I find it easier going through and making the notes first because trying to figure out where changes need to be made and actually making the changes requires different states of mind. So doing it this way is much less exhausting because I'm not constantly going back and forth from editing mode and writing mode.
